The dishes came well packaged. I purchased two sets and none of them were broken even though the large Walmart box they were in took quite a beating (top and bottom were almost open!). Dishes seem to be very good quality. The blue is more of a muted blue gray. It's not vibrant at all. Just an fyi. (I included a pic with another blue bowl set so you could see the difference in the colors.)
