Did not fit motor as described

The gas line side would not go onto the connector: 2005 Mercury 15hp ele. start The inside of the gas line connector must have been tapered. I purchased a attwood 8896LP-6 and it fits perfectly. Walmart took the unusable part back without any questions. Thank you Walmart.
