The water and vessel gets very hot, which is why we love it. Please be careful , especially around children. We especially appreciate the easy to clean glass. No rust or hidden particles.

***First bought a Mr Coffee cup warmer and it was a total nothing. Barely warmed at room temp at all. Then upgraded to this Ovente kettle and guess what...it works 10 times better than expected. Easy to set up, simple safety switch, protective filling cap, and... it boils in less than... 2 ...minutes! I live in a care facility and no longer have to depend on the nurses for a 'spot o tea'. This is unbelievable!!! Highly recommend it.
