My daughter needed a new straightener of HER OWN and has hair more thick than mine.. we've both got long hair and I've only ever had 1” heat plates. This is for sure a game changer either way the 2” plates. Great brand, always a go to, the overall design and settings at great. I've always used hat protection first, but my teen tends to forget sometimes and it still hasn't damaged her hair unlike how cheaper non ionic plates would grab your hair no matter what to burn. Chords w nice length, cooling is great and quick heat up.
