Very nice watch but bigger than expected

I decided finally to get a stainless steel watch instead of the junky ones I'd been buying and always ended up throwing in the garbage. It's a nice basic watch and seems of very good quality but when it arrived I was a little disappointed because it ended up being a little plainer than I thought it would be. I looked on the website to see what I might exchange it for but what I liked was more than my budget (of course!). I decided to keep the watch because it is nice and this is the style I wanted. It is also bigger than I expected. I have an average sized wrist. It's quite a bit bigger than it looked on the "Try it on On" photo. I did compare measurements between a few different watches and I thought this "mini" would be smaller but the measurements were not much smaller than others (I live in the US and am not used to mm's) I'm happy enough that I kept it but I will have to get some links removed.
