My kid took some training to get this bike going, and had some new features he was not use to, but overall, any dad worth his salt should be able to get this together in no time! There are some cheap things on this bike, but who cares. The Branding is what makes its iffy and it can be covered up with stickers. The Assembly was a breeze. The Manual is MOSTLY in English. And as long as you follow the pictures you should be okay. Of course my son did none of that! ԅ(≖‿≖ԅ) But I got to him before he got to far. THe gears worked out of the box, and we took it for a quick spin to run in the Disk Brakes, and everything went very smoothly. Just watch out for the shift lever as the push button controls are pretty new for most riders. Fit and finish are top notch and nothing to complain about for an entry level bike to get in the hobby of riding a bike. The best thing about these Cheaper bikes is that you don't have to worry about them walking off as the price Walmart sells them for makes it a no brainer for a city get around the neighborhood bike. I would buy 2 of them as they really are such a good value. I did not skimp on the full face helmet however. (pics included) and that alone was over $320 at a local shop to have it custom fitted. Safety gear is where you DO NOT want to save money. 18 years of getting him here, and my boy is too valuable for a cheap helmet! Keep in mind this is a inexpensive bike. Its comfy he says, and looks the part. It's not $15,000 bike, but it gets the job done to get you in the game. THANK YOU CHINA THANK YOU WALMART! Hopefully at the end of the summer we both build up our legs for a full bike ride trip. I will stick to my old Schwinn Hardtail. OVERALL? You can not beat the price and FAST FAST shipping I got in PDX right to my door house. Only upgrade I would do is the rear Derailleur plastic is loose and makes some noise, but nothing some glue can't fix. Other then that, zero issues with the bike and easy to get going in less than 30 min or less. Tires come with air, but you need to top them off. What my son really liked about this bike was the look and the RIMS. They really are nice pieces. I use to pay for a RIM for what I got a WHOLE entire bike for with disk brakes! WINNING! ԅ(≖‿≖ԅ) I am sure your kid will like it too. He's on the short side due to his mum, but he fits perfect and the seat has a lot of adjustment. Also no quick release of the wheels so less issues with theft. SOUND DECISION BY THE COMPANY who made this! Will buy again when it gets stolen in the future, and it won't break the bank.
