This is a replacement for my previous one (this make %26 model) that had roaches climbing out of it from my previous home. I'm almost 70 years of age and I absolutely love this food processor. I've owned many makes and models of food processors but this is the best without spending several thousand dollars, seriously. This food processor is fast, does a great job, the fabulous accessories (especially the mini work bowl that eliminates the need for a small food processor), and actual metal surrounding the electric motor rather than plastic which can and does dry out and crack. It's NOT plastic that's made to look like metal. There are always undeserved negative complaints about everything, this food processor is no exception. If you want full size French fries for example, buy a manual French fry cutter. The French fry disc makes shoestring French fries which are delicious, I fry them in oil then eat them as a snack or on top of salads. Most food processors don't come with a French fry disc at all! This GE food processor is worth every penny I paid for it.
