It was easy to install in my over 10 year old hp 17 notebook. Just popped it in, reassembled my laptop, and it was functioning better than ever (I brought it from 4GB ram to 16GB). Keep in mind this is for DDR3 ram, so it works for most tech from mid-2000s to about 2017ish.
