I did price comparison before ordering the Black and Decker 12-cup coffee maker with vacuum sealed carafe. The carafe I ordered previously from Walmart was difficult to align the cap with the pouring spout. Needless to say the coffee poured out from the side. My request for a return/refund from Walmart was confirmed. The Black and Decker coffee maker is exactly what I wanted without having to order a separate carafe. I've only used it once because the carafe kept my first pot of coffee warm overnight. I warmed my morning cup for a few seconds in the microwave. The coffee tasted as fresh as day one. In essence, I got a two for one great deal.

This is my second one. I love that it keeps the coffee hot for hours. It pours well. There are a few problems that you should know before you buy. -The clock screen is very small and not lit. I have to use a flashlight to see the am/pm -There is no light to tell you that the program is set to brew later. Again, you ha E to use a flashlight to see it on the tiny screen. -You have to remember to check if there is coffee still in the thermal carafe before you brew more. You can't see if there is anything inside to avoid an overflow mess. Basically, the thermal property of the carafe is the only good thing about the whole set up
