Faaaaaaabulous

Let me just start by saying I was skeptical about getting this because I had another Roomba that I actually ended up getting rid of because it just wasn't cutting it. That one however was a very old model and refurbished so I guess it had already served its time before it got to me. This new one is my new best friend. Who knew that the self empty would make such a huge difference? Not me. This robot literally does everything by itself. When it is emptying it's contents it does sound like a jet plane when taking off but only for a few seconds and then it's done. My favorite thing is I have a shag rug with long fibers that my old robot vacuum could not handle - it would get stuck every time. But THIS one handles that rug like a champ. It also says in the manual that it knows how to avoid stairs, and althoughI haven't tested that yet, that is something else my other vacuum could not do. Very impressed. App is very easy to use. Set up took less than 5 minutes (but then you have to let it charge). Yay!

Super tool for keeping the floors tidy.

“Fred” does an amazing job of keeping our floors clean. We have it set to run 3x a week whole we’re at work. With 2 big dogs that shed a ton, it’s a game changer. The auto empty feature is a must have (wish it had been available when we purchased our first Roomba “Ned” Also navigates thresholds like a champ. Only thing to watch… Phone charging cables… have them off the floor!

First time Roomba owner

Unboxing was very simple and easy to use. I just received this product today and I’m very excited to see how it performs. Unboxing and the set up process was very easy, I’m sure anyone could go along with it. I’m not sure how well it does with cleaning. I read a review mentioning that they recommend a sweep and vacuum before using this for the first time, I suppose to give it an easier first run. I’m letting the robot charge overnight (you’re suppose to let it charge for at least one hour before the first use). I immediately gave my Roomba a fun name (Roombaticus) and gave it a schedule. I programmed my roomba to clean everyday at noon. You have the ability to set however many days you want. I read some reviews about having a hard time finding replacement bags, there are plenty on Amazon, and there are even some that have zippers so you could re-use them. I’ll update this review as I have more experience and usage out of this thing, but overall I’m very excited and optimistic! And for the price of only $288, I felt like this was an absolute STEAL that I couldn’t pass up.
