I bought these for my husband and they are an excellent fit and comfortable. The thinner straps are comfortable and get the job done. The leather is not as uncomfortable on his skin as I thought it would be so he can wear them under my shirt without the sleeveless "T" so it is cooler in the hot months.

I need suspenders because my hips are out of kilter, a result of scoliosis, so a belt doesn't prevent my trousers from slipping. The CTM suspenders do the job, and look attractive (according to my two critical daughters!), so I'm basically satisfied. But I always feel too much pressure against my shoulders, no matter how much I loosen them. So I only wear them when I'm outside.
