I am a vegetarian and am well versed in using it/cooking with it. There is nothing wrong with wheat gluten if you are not sensitive but if you are, or if you are a cat then you do NOT need that in your life. I was wondering why they were licking up the gravy in some brands and ALWAYS leaving the bits of "meat" in the dish. Well, that was the gluten, and I had no idea but they knew. So I tried this pate (chicken) and they absolutely loved it. I was worried about the "milk" in it but it caused no issues. I also switched their dry food to one without wheat and their wet stools and diarrhea have disappeared. I am so happy! I have older cats and they love this pate as well.

Bought this for my adult kitty to get some calories in her after a major surgery where she stopped eating. To me the texture is gross and unappetizing. But kitty loved it and it stimulated her appetite enough that she's back on her regular food.
