I don't know that I would recommend this to anyone. I had a goose down pad on my bed before, and it was thick and soft and very cushioning. This one lays flat and if you don't put extra sheets between it and your body, you get pricked. I need to feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud I suffer from fibromyalgia so when I do get an outbreak or an inflammation, I feel like I'm laying on rocks so having a puffy soft place to lay is what usually works for me I feel less pain. This is not helping.
