The only negative about this item is that it could be hard for someone to open and close. I suggest practicing until you're comfortable before wearing the earring so that you won't have it stuck in there. I ordered the silver tone only pair and when I want to remove them, I have to press downward a little bit before pulling them apart. Very minor con for me since the earrings are affordable, feel solid, and I like the finish of the sterling silver. It matches my platinum ring. Other budget earrings normally have silver that is too white or too dark in finish. The finish of this earring is shiny. If you want a classic huggie earring, I suggest the other item Bling Jewelry sells called "Hoop Kpop Earrings Sterling Silver Flat Hinge ” or something like that. That one is smaller and looks like a basic huggie. This one is longer and thicker so it reminds me of a chunky hoop earring but without the weight. This huggie is still very comfortable to wear and I could easily sleep in this item too. I ordered both this item and the "Hoop Kpop Earrings Sterling Silver Flat Hinge" so I could have some options. I wear this pair when I want a little extra shine while still being minimalistic. I have thick ear lobes and this item still fit just fine. Both items were my first purchase from Bling Jewelry - I only found them through Nordstrom Rack, would definitely order again especially for silver fashion earrings.
