AIRCARE 831000 Space-Saver, White Whole House Evaporative Humidifier 2700 sq. ft

I've been using the humidifier for about 5 weeks almost non stop (it gets dry here in Michigan winters and the house is big). It takes about 4 gallons of water every day. I think it works better than the other one I have that's probably 12 years old. It's lightweight when empty. The plastic is thin and the walls of the humidifier are slightly flexible, but it doesn't get in the way of functioning. The noise level is ok, not horrible but still noticeable. The filters are not cheap, but not overly expensive (about $35). Hopefully I'll be able to get away with only having to replace it twice a winter.

I was noticing everything had a static cling to it, even my dog. When he would get up off the couch, he popped and crackled. Every light switch shocked me and my clothes clung to my legs and back, I hated it. Mentioned it at work to the girls in my office and someone suggested a humidifier. Did a little research on the web and then started looking online for a good deal. Found this one at Wal-Mart and it's been a great find. With the 2700 sq ft coverage, it does my whole house. It's not any louder than the heater so it truly not an noise maker, the only issue I have with it it that it's so thirsty all the time. Not really, I just fill it ever two days and it's good to go, and I don't worry about it. The wheels make the refilling an easy thing to do, since a bathroom is sthe closest room with water, I just roll it in and fill it up. I've already recommended it to the girls in the office.
