Great hardware, instructions lacking

The equipment is 5 star for sure, the instructions and video on their website didn't match up to some hardware we got which made it super frustrating. I have it up currently but need to take it down again to get the center roller properly put on as well as 1 of the arm stops. Plan on it taking several hours to assemble and put up and have minimum 2 strong adults to put up.

Good product, love that it's motorized.

I'm not sure why everyone complains about the assembly of this awning. The instructions were brief but fine. You could just look at the pieces and visualize how it would go together. You do have to be careful and NOT unstrap the arms before the assembly is mounted to the wall. There should be a larger cautionary note for that as it got overlooked...once! Loved the motorized action - so convenient and half or more less than competing brands. Do NOT use the expansion bolts provided for mounting into concrete - they are undersized and will not lock in place. Don't count on getting the $10 Paypal coupon Aleko offers if you send in pictures of the installed product - sent them twice and have never received anything.

The best value for a patio awning that I found

Con I hired someone to install it for me and he said that he had to review an online video of a competing product to be able to install it. Adjusting it to be firm and deploy and retract well to quite some time. It makes clunking sounds when deploying and retracting. Pro It looks great. It blends in with the house really well. It makes the deck useful through the hot part of the day. It provides great shade. It is really quite sturdy. It holds up well in brisk wind. I retract it when it picks up.
