Power to go!

The solar panels fit nicely in my backpack, and it's easy to unfold, attach to a portable battery, and get charging. I haven't been able to test it long-term yet, but everything seems to work great and I'm hoping to bring it along many trips in the future!

A great solar charger

I used this solar charger on a 10 day Scout campout. I was able to keep my batteries and phone charged the entire time. I started with a fully charged 40k mAh battery for charging my phone at night and a fully charged 5 mAh battery for charging during the day while hiking. Network service was extremely poor so my phone was constantly running down. I was able to completely recharge the smaller battery daily and the top off the larger battery in a day halfway through the campout. I got about 20k mAh in just a few hours. Additionally, because it has three USB outlets I was able to charge multiple other devices belonging to others at the same time. It's durable (no damage) and tolerant of moisture - it got condensation on it with no problems. I like the four rings for attachment and the included carabiners. They were useful for stringing it up for optimal sun. The Velcro pouch was useful for storing cords and carabiners. I didn't put the batteries or phone ion it for fear of overheating. Not sure if that would have happened but I didn't want to take a chance. The only downside is there is another model with a built-in amp meter. Some other folks on the campout had that model. However, it only has two outlets. It would have been nice to have the meter, but I'm not sure it's worth the trade for one fewer outlet and the higher cost. Overall highly recommend this charger.
