We decided to filter at the cold air returns rather that at the air handler. The goal was to reduce the amount of dust in the house. The 12x12x1 filters fit the returns perfectly. We've noticed no difference in air flow. It's too early to determine if there is less dust. The filters are of high quality. If the change we made in filter location works the way we want, we'll definitely be purchasing more from Filter Buy.

The width of my requested filter was 16 3/8. Instead, you sent a 16 1/2" width. That additional 1/8 " was significant enough that it made the filter installation very difficult. I even sustained some damage to the filter trying to force it into the slot. The air condioning manufacture assigned this very precise measurement for a reason. I have tried to use FilterBuy to save money. It appears that I will have to return to the premium price filter to eliminate the problem with fit.
