BOX SPRING REQUIRED

If you look under ""Full Description"", directly under the name and item number for the bed and directly next to the picture it clearly says ""Requires no box spring"". This bed needs a box spring (see attached picture). The bed comes with four ""slats"" that does not provide the mattress enough support. This is very disappointing since I spent more to buy this bed since I was not supposed to need a box spring, so now I will have to go over budget on the room to remedy. The way the headboard is positioned you will either need a VERY thick mattress or a mattress/box spring set so that your pillows do not slide into the ""void"" created under the headboard and where the mattress and wall do not meet. We had one bolt that the threading was messed up on, and we could not get it all the way in. My husband had another one that was the same size (fortunately) so we were able to use that one -- but many people would not be as lucky. Assembly was pretty easy and straight forward otherwise, just a few places where there were not pre-drilled holes. Otherwise, the bed is pretty.
