Heritage rugs are hand-tufted using 100% pure wool with a strong cotton backing for a cushion-soft feel underfoot that will stand up beautifully even in busier areas of the home.

A beautiful and pleasing purchase!
I am very pleased with this SAFAVIEH carpet, SAFAVIEH Heritage Yasim Geometric Wool Area Rug, Navy/Red, 3' x 5'. I had ordered and returned a cheaper rug from a different company which felt like plastic and had a horrible odor. The SAFAVIEH carpet which I received actually smelled very clean and fresh. The carpet arrived in good time, and the pattern and colours are beautiful. I am using it in my Honda Element "mini-camper" and it is perfect for padding my knees as I move around in the small space, and plush enough to use as a pad under my sleeping bag. I gave it 4 stars only because time will tell if it is a good value. I did vacuum it and it only "shed" 3 little bits of wool, so I am impressed with its sturdiness. One of the corners is a teeny out of square, but to me, it does not detract from its beauty. If SAFAVIEH can maintain this quality at this price, I wish them success!
