Orbit Yard Enforcer is hands down, the best.

I have used several of these and this model is the best by far. The others were made of inferior materials that leaked. They had to be tinkered with to keep them from leaking and since they leaked anyway, the ground would become wet and they were difficult to keep well anchored in place. This device has a metal bottom that pressed easily into the ground and the fittings are well made and easy to make water tight. This device also has a switch to allow use only at night or only day or both or off. The infrared sensor has a sensitivity adjustment to adjust for distance and a duration adjustment for the length of time it sprays water before cutting off. It can also be used as a lawn sprinkler with a 30 minute timed cycle. The impulse sprinkler head is typical but very good quality with standard adjustments for length of spray, diffusion of spray and arc of spray. The device can be assembled high, for tall animals or low for short animals. It does cost more than other models, but the difference in quality makes it a real bargain. I am very happy to review something that impresses me as much as the Orbit Yard Enforcer. It really is built to work and built to last. My advice is, don't waste your money on anything less.

Think long and hard…

Just my opinion, this Orbit pest control unit is overpriced for what you actually receive. You stand back and look at it and maybe wonder why it costs over $80? I hope it lasts long enough to justify the high cost to get one. Quality is okay, I have no problem with that. I believe it works sometimes at night as expected. It just doesn't look like an $80 piece of equipment. I wouldn't buy it again…

I Put Sod in my backyard at end of summer. Raccoons came every night rolled it up to eat worms below the sod. It was a disaster. I trapped 5 raccoons and 2 possums and relocated them. But still the yard was being torn up. I purchased the Orbit and I put the Sprinkler about 10 feet from where they were tearing up the yard and the sod has not been disturbed since setting it up. Very happy with how it works. Its been over a month and the critters don't like getting wet or the noise when it kicks on. You have to get AA lithium batteries, You can use regular AA but they don't work as well and my regular AA wore out in a few days. Save your yard and garden, this thing works great!
