I like the watch. I thought it would come in a box but it was around a band like in a showcase but that was fine. I did not like that the tab for the battery to run was gone. No way of knowing for how long or how much of the battery life remains. And, no it was not done to allow it to be set to the current time. The time showing was no where close.

Timex watch is a great looking timepiece

This watch was chosen for its size (30mm diameter) and readability. The band is way too large for a small female wrist, and I had to remove 7 links for a comfortable fit. Expansion bands are always quite large. Removing some of the links is not for the faint of heart. It requires some small tools, an excellent eyesight, a magnifier, and a lot of patience. A local store offered to do it for $10. The DIY process is available on the internet.
