I wrote a review stating that the quality of the strap was pretty bad and wore out after only a year. Almost immediately customer service contacted me and offered to send me a new strap even though they were not obligated to by any warranty or such. Well the new strap has arrived and there are some improvements! Aesthetically the strap is nearly identical to the first one I had. This time around the strap is thicker and more leather is used. This alone should make the strap more durable but in addition to that, they've adjusted the holes the buckle uses as well as the loop that holds the excess strap down. The holes the buckle uses are now circular which should be stronger then the rectangular counter parts in the first strap. Also the loop that holds any excess strap down is twice as wide and much thicker then before. Previously the watch had 2 loops and both wore out leaving nothing to hold the excess strap down, this is unlikely to happen with the new loop. The new strap is every bit as nice as the old one but it looks like it's going to last much longer then the 1 year the original one did.

Great so far.

I bought this watch a week ago as a Christmas present for myself and am very pleased with it. It looks just as good as the pictures and is comfortable. Everything works well, and it is easy to operate. I think that it will last for a long time which is the reason I decided to invest in it, and it has a more timeless look than other similar watches. Also because it is water resistant and feels durable I am not worried about breaking it, I am a 16 year old guy, so that is also an important factor. The only down sides that I have noticed are that being as expensive as it is, I would think that it could be slightly more comfortable, this may get better with time and use as the leather breaks in. Also I noticed that the miniature minutes hand for the separate timer is off to the right by maybe 1/64 of an inch, which is very small, but enough that I can see a very slight inaccuracy which is a little disappointing to the perfectionist, but not a big deal. Overall so far it seems to be well worth the price and a good buy.

I got this watching after wanting to switch from wearing one around my belt, to a more professional around the wrist.  I have a bit of metal sensitivity so a leather wrist strap was a must.  Since getting this watch I've had almost non stop compliments about it.  It's just the right size and distinguished enough that it's easily noticed.
