DEPENDS ON YOUR NEEDS
I purchase two. they easily connect together to make one unit. However, you need to request and extra set of square posts if you want it higher than 30 inches. 30" is eye level in a chair. or dinning table height. I fit all my electronics on the shelves, two dvrs, two computers couple few slide draws for other stuff. Much smaller in W L D than my previous unit which works well for me. I like it's light weight, no tools needed great space saver for small apt. One unit on it's own works too buy depends on what your needs are. Would be too low for me. As someone else here said, Measure twice :) I measured multiple times before I bought.
