I like the setting memory recall, the lock shut, and automatic shut off after an hour. I didn't have to swipe over and over to get my hair straight, and the temperature goes from 285° to 455° so I have more control of how hot I need it, without any damage to my hair. My hair is straight as a board when I use it, and the lock shut helps so I don't have to wrap the cord around the handle.

This styling device may look different from other Straightening tools but I think it works perfectly for smoothing kinky hair. My hair is thick, coarse, wavy and prone to frizziness. It was easy to use this device by placing a section of hair between the copper ceramic plates. There are 4 - 1/2 inch plates to achieve overall straightness and smoothness for the look and style you want. This device has 10 heat temperatures ranging from 285 degrees to 455 degrees. You can smooth your hair quickly and safely without damaging the hair. I have been using Revlon products for many years and am more than satisfied with the overall quality.
