This is now my 4th Vornado. It all started when my Vornado I purchased in the 90s finally gave up the ghost. It was dual purpose - heater or fan, depending on controls selected. I then bought a small classic mini, which is a solid product l that is perfect on a desk. Then, I bought a classic heater and now this one. I really like the quality of the retro ones, even though my first was heavy duty plastic. They look great in my Dad's old 1948 ranch style house

I apologize. Anyway, great fan. Good solid build quality. Looks great and blends in with home decor. It has three fan speeds that cover a lot of range. The lowest setting is very quiet but still moves a lot of air around, while the highest setting is a turbine, though the noise is an even hum and not off-putting. Totally recommend this fan.
