I am not a grandmother, nor do I have any babies that I care for. I was looking for a good pitcher to use for my instant powdered milk and this looked to be perfect! I thought, if it mixes baby formula powder, why not instant milk powder? It's a genius invention for both. The lid locks into place, no leaks, with a pretty sturdy plastic apparatus that mixes the milk as you gently pump it up and down (don't get too vigorous, they are small plastic parts) and the pour spout is perfect and dripless when I pour the milk into my teacup! Just a couple quick pumps to make sure the milk is all together each time before you pour. I can see why this would be a blessing to parents - no more shaking bottles and creating unwanted bubbles in baby's tummy! I highly recommend this pitcher for formula, instant milk, or really anything you serve that needs stirring up before serving (like lemonade or punch). Holds one quart of liquid, with easy to see measurements on the side. I would advise a quick gentle hand wash to protect the plastic working parts. In the picture, the white handle on top of the lid is not broken, but is on a ball %26 socket swivel so it moves around easily.

Was perfect for the pitcher method with my breast milk, if you have a oversupply then the only con is you'll fill this up pretty quickly so you might want to buy something that'll hold more. Other than that it was great.
