The lampshades are well made and of quality materials. The frame that fits over the bulb is sturdy, but can be a bit difficult to open. Fit my two old lamps perfectly. One other reviewer mentioned that her shade threw an odd shadow on the wall when lit. One of mine does this, but not the other, weird
