LifePlus Electric Fireplace Insert Heater 23" Indoor Electric Log Set Heater with Remote Control for Inside Room Home Realistic Flame, 1500W

I have a very old house and have always been nervous about lighting an actual fire in my fireplace, and this electric one has changed my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed having a nightly "fire" every night this January! This is the first electric log set I've ever used, so I'm not sure how the noise or the "glowing" compares to others. When the heater fan is on you can definitely hear it, though it's not too loud or anything. It just sounds like a heater. It warms up the room great! When the fan is off there is still a little noise (like the hum of a refrigerator) but barely noticeable. The flames do look very realistic, though I wish the "glowing" of the embers were more varied instead of a steady, predictable pattern. I'm glad there's a timer option, though I haven't used it yet. All that being said, I'm extremely happy with this fireplace heater, especially for such a great price! It really makes my living room so cozy!
