Fun for kids

My son loves this set, and he plays with it all the time. He requested that I do a review, because he heard that a lot of people hated this set, and it made him sad. He said that he would give it a thousand stars if he could. It was a little hard to figure out how to make them fly at first, but he figured out that you need to lift the helicopter while pulling the rip stick, to make it get enough lift. With enough lift at the start, it can go really high. And we've noticed that they almost always land on their skids. Very stable, and almost never comes apart, even after many, many flights. We do competitions to see who can land them on different platforms.

Super fun!

To get the plane to fly, point the propeller in the direction you want the plane to fly (perpendicular to the ground - NOT at the sky like a normal helicopter) and pull the plastic piece. Lots of fun!!

Fun interactive Lego set

My experience is similar to reviewer Jessesaur, me and my 5 y/o son really enjoy this set. I am surprised the other reviewers did not manage to get those helicopters to fly correctly. Either they have unrealistic expectations, they did not try hard enough to understand how it works, or have a broken set. We even bought it to the park and lot of kids played with them after I shown them how to do it and they managed to make it fly over and over. We like to go to some small mountain at park and they can travel some decent distance when you give them a good spin.
