I needed a black saucer to use under a black plant pot and could only find the whole set on the internet, so I got the salad plate that is exactly the right size. Then later discovered I could buy the salad plate alone. I bought the salad plate in order to make the set complete so that I can sell it or give it as a gift, since I don't need it. It is really attractive but is very heavy, which is a concern for me.

These dishes come in more colors besides brown. ...And if ever there was 'a perfect set of dishes,' this set is it! This salad plate is nice and large, and can be used to serve desserts, snacks, and foods with too much juice or gravy to put on the plate with other foods. This plate will not break, chip, or crack easily because it's so nice and thick! I purchased the entire set, piece by piece. I could've just bought the set for one set price, but it did not include the mugs, and I wanted the mugs.
