Great bookshelf speakers

These speakers sound fantastic, but they are small - so it is definitely best to use the sub out and add a good subwoofer if you want strong bass. The treble and mid range sounds excellent.

Punchy little monitors with a crucial upgra

These speakers are a brilliant starting point for a desktop Hi-Fi setup. Out of the box, the wooden enclosure provides a warm, rich sound that belies their compact size. The 42 Watts RMS offers plenty of headroom for near-field listening without distortion. The real star here, however, is the "s" in the model name. The dedicated subwoofer line-out is a game-changer. While the speakers handle mids and highs with clarity, pairing them with a dedicated sub transforms them into a full-range 2.1 system that rivals much more expensive setups. If you are looking for accurate sound reproduction that allows for easy expansion later, these are the best value on the market. Highly recommended.
