Works great and doesn't injure the dog

I used my dog spray for the first time today and it worked great! I live in the country where there are no leash laws. I run a lot. I frequently encounter dogs and most of them are friendly, but I have encountered a couple of unsavory types. I bought the spray so that I could feel more confident when I run through certain areas. Today I ran through an area where I always encounter 5 dogs who run after me and show aggression. I sprayed the first dog that approached me and the dog immediately stopped barking and chasing me, and it started licking its nose. It didn't whimper or act like it was hurt. It acted more like it had an itchy nose and was confused what had happened to it. The other dogs stopped chasing me as well when they saw what happened. I feel like the next time I run through that area they will remember me and leave me alone 😊 I feel even more confident using it now that I know what the effects are to the dog. I was worried that it would hurt the dog, but seeing the reaction of the dog today gives me peace of mind that it's safe, and a great way to merely discourage aggressive dogs.

So far so good!

I have not had the need to actually use this spray yet so this rating is based off of non use. It slides early on and off the waistband of my leggings and feels very secure while I run. The safety of having to place your finger inside the top to spray prevents accidental spays but still seems very easy to use in an emergency. I feel much more confident running county roads knowing there could be loose dogs about with this.
