Doorbell and Security Camera

I have three of these - front door, back door, and pool door. I can see my entire front, back, and side (pool) area. They are very accurate at detecting a human, and if that human has a package (Amazon, UPS, Pizza, etc). It can learn faces and report who is at your door. They see well at night. You can zoom in, the quality is ok. These aren't James Bond Spy cameras and you can't read a license plate, but I am happy with its ability. You can access the video from anywhere and the yearly subscription is $120 no matter how many I add to Nest. I bought a power adapter and did not connect to my doorbell. A push of the button alerts my phone and I can talk to the visitor. It will detect lizards, burds, spiders, etc., but it does not alert you on a visitor. Just can't say enough good about these. I wont be installing cameras because of how well these work.

Awesome Camera Clarity

Great product. Arrived quickly through Walmart and was relatively easy to set up and install. The masonry drill bit included won't work well on decorative brick, so I recommend going to the hardwire store and purchasing a 1/4" quality bit. It will save you a headache during installation. Great camera clarity. The sensor is very sensitive and detects insects flying past at night, so you may get unwanted notifications.

Nest Hello was easy to install and easy to use

Product delivery was on-time. Was very easy to install and has everything needed included in the box. You use your phone to walk through a series of steps in an installation helper app. Had no trouble at all with the installation and adding the Nest Hello to my wireless network. Comes with an optional 15 degree angled base which is super helpful if your existing doorbell doesn't directly face you as you walk up to the door -- ours is mounted off to a side wall with a line of site which looks across the front of the door. With the angled base installed, the Nest Hello easily picks up the walkway leading to the front door. The video quality is outstanding and is zoomable in the Nest app to a degree that you can even zoom in on a delivery person's name tag. Adding it to my existing Google Home environment was a breeze, it just showed up as an available device and I can ask my Google Hub Max to "show me the front door", a feature I really like because there is no fumbling for the phone when I want to see who is at the door. The only thing that was confusing was that I didn't realize that to enjoy all of the features of the Nest Hello that I needed to also install the free Nest app on my phone. Once I did that I was able to set up zones and specify which alerts (motion, person, package delivered, package removed, etc) I wanted to be notified with. It learns, with your assistance, very quickly who is a 'known' person of your household and will even notify you by their name if you let the app know who they are. All in all, a great purchase and feels so much safer to use than the Ring devices.
