When you sit down in this dress, the hem being long in the front is very nice--you don't have to feel self-conscious about showing too much thigh! And, when standing, the hem being shorter on the sides is nice, because it makes the dress feel more casual and flirty than a long dress does. I would order based on shoulder and bust measurements. (And maybe wear boyshorts under it, if it is windy out.)
