Very pleased with purchase so far

Bought this motor to replace a 4hp gas trolling motor. My boat is a 16ft aluminum used exclusively to troll for salmon on Tillamook Bay Oregon. The motor trolls my boat easily with plenty of power to spare. I installed two batteries with a Perko switch which lets me switch between the two batteries. I also put in a Minn Kota circuit breaker. So far I haven't depleted even one battery in a days fishing, typically 5 hrs or so. I am usually using 35 to 55% of power to troll depending on the tide. To top it off we are catching salmon, in the first 6 days of fishing we have boated 7 spring Chinook salmon between 15 and 22 lbs. Variable thrust works much better for this purpose than the old 5 speed motors.

Great trolling motor

Bought this for fresh and saltwater and it runs extremely smooth and I get alot of hours on the water powered by an 80ah Lithium battery.
