Litter stays in the tray.
I have a cat who always scatters litter all over the room whenever she uses her litterbox. I have to sweep it up 4-6 times a day. That's why I thought to give this box a try mainly because it has a scatter shield. So far it has worked out perfectly for both of us. For her because her habit of scattering, leaves all litter inside the tray, and for me because I have one less chore to do. I'm going to see if you have another one just a bit larger. If not this one will do. Also the price was unbelievably low which was a plus for someone on a fixed income.
