I bought this camera to help monitor two rescue kitties I trapped and took to be fixed, and I've honestly been really happy with it so far. The picture quality is clear during the day, and the night vision works surprisingly well. It's not professional photo quality of course, but it's definitely more than good enough for monitoring pets, babies, or a room in your home. One of my favorite features is being able to move the camera directly from my phone instead of waiting for it to automatically track motion. I also really like that I can go back and review motion events later. It's been very good at detecting when one of the cats moves. I ended up turning motion alerts off for my own setup because I prefer checking footage later, but the alerts seemed accurate and I could definitely see this being useful for someone wanting extra peace of mind watching a baby, pets, or even a back door or entryway. I also wanted to mention something because I saw a lot of reviews claiming you're forced to buy a membership. That hasn't been my experience at all. The app does promote the subscription pretty often, but I've been using it without one just fine. It still records motion events for me to review later, and it also has a micro SD card slot for local storage. For anyone wondering, the SD card slot is hidden under the camera “eye.” You gently lift it up and use the tip of a pen to press the card in or out. The setup process was easy for me, though I'm fairly comfortable with technology. I'd just recommend following the directions closely during setup. Overall, this has been a really nice and affordable pet cam. I also think the camera itself looks nice and compact instead of bulky or distracting in the room.
