I have always liked Delta Children's brand for furniture because it's affordable yet still pretty decent quality. This changing table is no exception. I know some reviewers. I have experienced shipping and handling woes, but I didn't. everything came undamaged and wasn't missing any parts. My husband was able to assemble the whole thing in less than one hour, although he was probably using a drill. without a drill, it will probably take you 1.5-2.5 hours to assemble it, depending on how fast you are at doing this kind of thing. the changing table does indeed come with safety straps and a changing pad. the pad is surprisingly soft and cushy and seems to repell liquids because of its plastic covering. No, it doesn't come off. I personally plan to still put a fabric changing pad cover over top of mine. Anyway, the wood seems to be actual wood, painted, with some kind of finish and gloss on it. Unlike other changing tables I have owned, this pne seems to stay secure, and the screws don't easily loosen, which makes me very happy. the best part is that it has both sode rails AND safety straps to secure your baby, and the straps have to be screwed into the changing table. baby will be safe and sound while you change him/her. Also, my toddler, who is 2 and not yet potty trained (but hopefully soon!), despite being very large for her age (already a 4T, over 3 feet tall, and 35 pounds), fit on the changing table just great! The changing tabke is able to support her weight, too, which is nice. And I dont have to bend over too far to change her since the changing table is a good height, although I am only 5'4", so other people who are taller may experience issues. Anyway, I am pleased to say that this is another great product from Delta's Childrens. I know it will last for years to come. Thank you for letting it go on sale for only $98 dollars. That was a great price, and I still received a good quality changing table.
