Really good radio.

This ER10 has outstanding sensitivity and communications-grade sound quality. My guess is it uses the same chipset as the ER50, and it is very happy with 1.2volt NIMH cells. It is pretty rugged, and could likely take a fair amount of abuse. Factory default menus are good (when batteries are replaced). Battery drain is minimal. The only downside is it is prone to horrible, battery draining, alarms when the weather function gets activated. NOAA was defunded and weather alarms don't work as intended.
