LEGO Icons tbd 10327

The Dune Ornithopter was one of the first large sets I've boughten in years and boy I was not disappointed! With a very respectable price tag, a challenging yet satisfying build, and most of all, an absolutely cool looking set with very neat features (especially the wings) I would recommend this set 10 times out of 10.

This set combines good mechanisms, aesthetics, and robustness. It is exquisite to build and see the final result. I like the combination between technique pieces to allow more complex mechanisms, and the classic bricks for aesthetics. It is a well designed set. At the beginning I didn't want to buy it because I thought it was like other sets that only looked good, but the mechanisms were minimal or non existent, and it was fragile to manipulate. However, it was a nice surprise that it has all the things a look in a set, complexity, good mechanisms, robustness, and aesthetics. I would like Lego keep doing this kind of sets, and it is sad that it is getting retired so soon. It is one of the best sets that I have built in all my vast amount of Lego sets.
