To seal, it is as good as peanut butter jelly. When I was a kid, it's the vesting. You can use around a boat. I have never had it leak wherever I had used it never. I would recommend it to anybody. But you can't let it get too cold or it will freeze up. And it will not fall out. I found that out this winter and I live in Florida. Go figure I had half a tube of it. Get hard as a rock, so my little trick is to put it in the refrigerator down there by the vegetables. Put it in a ziploc bag that way, it stays hard. We had quite a few nights in the 30s.
