Seachoice Anchor Line Rope, Braided Nylon, White, Spring Hook, 3/16 In. X 100 Ft.

I purchased this as a spare anchor line at a sale price it was to low to pass up. It is very "soft" and not tightly braided. Easy on the hands, but braid loosens when you compress the line on itself. I would consider this a minimum spec line that may meet requirements for an anchor line. There is no thimble in the loop so this line is subject to stress and failure at the shackle. If you have a small boat and seldom to never anchor, this is a good emergency or second anchor rode. In regular use, I would not trust it to last long. I have it on my 20 ft 4500 lbs boat (3/8 line) only as a third spare or to use with our inflatable. Again, if you have no anchor line on board, this is a good emergency use line (think one time use). If you plan on using it to anchor, I would spend a little more and get better quality line with a thimble in the splice.
