Bought this for the Spectra 3 gallon fuel tank for my Evinrude outboard . Seems heavy duty, solid brass. Like that the retention barb has a rounded tip to protect the fuel line o ring if you try to insert it reversed. Shoulder that mates with the flat on the fuel line connector is very narrow causing wobble after it's inserted, but no leaks so far. Had to remove the fuel gauge housing from the tank to the ad the connector on, but it's only 4 screws. Be careful not to cross thread the plastic female fitting on the tank when installing. The instructions with the tank call for Teflon tape on the threads which is contrary to most mechanics advice. Use a marine grade pipe compound rated for fuel lines. Less chance of a tiny piece of Teflon tape breaking off as you thread it in and finding it's way into your engine to create havoc. If it happens to you once, you'll never use tape again.
