Duraflame Fatwood Resin-Rich Kindling Sticks for Wood and Charcoal Fire Starters, 0.125 Cu Ft Box

I am recently widowed, and am having to learn to make a fire in the wood heater. I know the steps, but to get it started and not burn my fires starting material I needed help. I found a box of Fatwood by another brand, with a few pieces in it that my husband had. They were kind of dry, not much pitch, and burned quicker. Can smell the pitch in these, and they burn great. I am a country lady, so remember pine pitch lattered (sp?) knots as a child, that dad used to build a fire.

I start all our fire ring fires with this Fatwood, been doing it for years. Never had an issue getting a fire started with this. I usually split them into thinner pieces to spread out throughout the log cabin style fire. Do more with less. It usually takes just two, split into about eight pieces, distributed throughout the wood pile. Obviously you have to have a properly built fire with small, medium, and gradually large kindling. Bottom line, these are amazing.
