This mattress is one piece and doesn't fold in the middle like some. The thickness is perfect so you little one doesn't feel the center handle while they sleep. My granddaughter loved it the minute we used it. She is around 20 pounds and was uncomfortable with the thin mattress provide by the pack and play company. It fits tight in our baby trend pack and play. She has been using it for over 6 months now.
