This replaced an older version (over 20 yrs) which shorted out due to faulty receptical. This update is an improvement, with more features and the same reliable product from LG. I've always found them to be long lasting, reliable and affordable compared to other mfg's.

Great Quality

Works great my 3rd LG A/C and they all work fine, quiet, good airflow, nice heat and cooling power. They usually last 10 to 12 years.

Buy a warranty!

I love this air conditioner model and have purchased it many times. However, it always breaks in year four. I always get the Walmart insurance for 4 years with starts after the manufacturer warranty and then you've got 5 years. Be smart! Buy the extended warranty!
