This Iron Gym Total Body Workout Bar is a great way to start getting in shape at home without spending a fortune on expensive workout equipment. One thing you need to know is it's not recommended for anyone over 300 lbs. This bar is very easy to assemble. You just put 2 screws, washers, and nuts through the rubber wall protector bar and attach the 2 arched bar grips with the open hex wrench included. Next, you put the 2 halves of the long bar together and put 2 more screws, washers, and nuts through it and attach it to the 2 arched bar grips. You are done! You need to put the Safety Wedge into the door frame as an extra safety precaution to make sure the bar doesn't come off.
They give you a booklet with a workout plan. You can use 3 types of grip positions; over hand, underhand, and inward grips for various exercises. You can do pull-ups with the Body Gym on a door frame. You can also do push-ups with the Body gym on the floor. You can use the Body Gym in the bottom of the door frame for sit-ups. You can even put the Body Gym on the floor and put your hands on the arched bars and do dips.
The bar is made of heavy-duty steel and has foam grips for a non-slip grip while you work out. There is a personal trainer video included with the Iron Gym Total Body Workout Bar to help you learn how to best use the bar. The bar detaches and attaches to the door in seconds and is easy to do. The booklet gives you a nutrition guide with eating recommendations and food choices to get you started on your way to fitness. My grandson loves to come over and work out on this bar when he is at my house too. It's a nice option for home exercising.
