Works great for accessing music, movies, data, and photos. I have a 6TB and a 8TB drive both units work outstanding. Just wish these came in sizes greater than 8TB

Satisfied WD MyCloud Home Plex Server

I've had two of these in the past 9 years and love the ease of setup, use and accessibility. I'm primarily using it for Plex currently and haven't any plans to replace it so long as WD keeps current with Plex Server updates. Recently Plex has pushed out a new iOS app that requires a server upgrade but I' m hopeful WD will be rolling out the 2025 Plex server upgrades soon?

4TB one is garbage

The 4TB models are absolute garbage. It WILL fail, you WILL NOT have any warning, and all your data will be lost. If you're considering one, save yourself the headache and either buy a 6TB model or actual cloud storage.
