Effective with simple control knobs

Simple controls (temperature and mechanical timer knobs). Halogen lamp is very bright to provide good visibility into the food being cooked. Despite the wide 15" glass bowl, the base fits a 12" foot-print on it's 90 degree orientation on our 36" stove top, and it looks much cleaner and less overwhelming than the older unit that we have.
